Human nature has a way of getting ugly. Selfish. Divisive. Angry. Out of control. As Christians, we learn to recognize this ugliness and begin to root it out of our lives. With the help of God’s Word, fellow Christians, and the indwelling Spirit of God we are able to grow into Spirit-led peole who exhibit virtues that honor God and imitate Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul describes these positive traits as the fruit of the Spirit” (Galatians 5:22, 23) and encourages us to “keep in step with the Spirit” (Galatians 5:25).
