Yet I Will Rejoice
Most Bible scholars refer to the book of Habakkuk as a theodicy, a defense or justification of the
character and ways of God to humans.
Much of this course of study will focus on the problem?upon the bewilderment and frustration
of people who are struggling to make faith the victory while grappling daily with apparent
inconsistencies. We want to spend some time dealing honestly with the things of life which
challenge our efforts to make sense of God. We do not want to settle for trite, ?canned?
answers, which may stop the complaints of our mouths, but which do little to still the turbulence
in our hearts.
