About the Author: J. B. Myers has preached for churches of Christ for more than thirty years, during which time he has helped many churches organize with elders and deacons. He is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University (B.S.), Harding University Graduate School of Religion (M.Th.), and Louisiana Tech University (M.B.A.). In addtion, he holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in community counseling and the Advanced Graduate Certificate in Addiction Studies from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Myers is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and the author of Faith and Addiction. He currently preaches for the Bright Angel church of Christ in Las Vegas, Nevada.
