A Call for God’s People to Return to God’s Word

Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls: but they said, We will not walk therein.” Today, Christians must come to God in reverent, humble obedience and ask for the right way.

This book is a call for Churches of Christ to follow the truth in God’s word. We should not be led by what appeals to people or what seems invigorating. We have “change-agents” in our brotherhood that want to change the worship and theology of the Church. They say if we don’t change, we will die. But, should we be led by the directives of God Almighty or these “change-agents?”

Dr. John Hobbs believes in the authoritative word of God (John 12:48; Rev. 20:12; Rom. 2:2). He firmly rejects the designs of those who want to allow false doctrine and ungodly practices come into the Church of Christ.. Dr. Hobbs answers these “change-agents” with Scripture, history, and insights from wise men. Solomon said, “Walk with wise men, and thou shalt be wise” (Prov. 13:20). We must “ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein.” If we do, God will bless us and we will find rest for our souls!
