Similar to the lead characters in the popular film Up!, many of us feel the pull of cynicism or naivete when faced with trouble or tough situations. Jesus urges us to choose otherwise. He calls us to spiritual renewal in our lives, our beliefs, our moral actions, and our worship. However, in our day we hear a chorus of confusion even regarding who Jesus Himself is.

The apostle Paul's letters to ancient Colossae help us sift through confusion and better know the risen Jesus and His will for us. They guide us to distinguish the rich, rare fabric of Christian faith from corrupt religion that is no more than torn, soiled burlap. They lead us to Christ.
