Studies in Colossians
The Epistle to the Colossians is the most “Christ focused” book of the Bible and was written to counter the cunning invasion of error in the Lord’s Church. Christians were being persuaded to leave the purity of the gospel’s doctrine and rely upon intellectual “wisdom,” angelic worship and astrology, compromising their loyalty to God’s revealed Word. The answer to this serious spiritual conflict was immediately sent to the Christians in Colossae: they had to embrace that the Lord Jesus Christ was the only safe way to spiritual devotion. He is the Supreme Savior!
This book examines the application of the book of Colossians in today’s world to those that continue to trust upon materialism, intellectual degrees, mystical spiritual forces, and astrological movements instead of our Lord. Paul’s epistle provides ample emphasis of “The Savior’s Supremacy” so Christians have practical suggestions for strengthening their faith.
