They Tease Me, Too!
All of us have been teased or "bullied" and it always hurts. One student and her teacher learned a valuable life lesson from another student who was often "made fun of" by others. Due to an injury at birth she was learning impaired, and school was a struggle for her. However, because her parents had helped her to discover the reality of God’s love at an early age, she was able to share that understanding so well with a hurting friend.
She was born and reared in Nashville, TN, where she spent seventeen years on the campus of Lipscomb University (kindergarten through college). She also earned a master’s degree in educational communication from WVU. In 1996 she was "Teacher of the Year" in the Dalton, GA, Public Schools. She and her husband are retired and live in Louisville, KY.
A very special "Thank You" to Ralph Thurman, a graduate of the University of TN and Savannah (GA) College of Art and Design, retired college art professor, U.S. Army veteran, lifelong Nashvillian, and best of all, the author’s brother. He spent countless hours working with his digital camera and computer producing these colorful and original illustrations.
