The Untangled Skit Book contains five skits that will begin each lesson in the jungle. You can use the same basic set design and change the look for each skit using a few different props.
These skits will provide an effective setup for the lessons the students will learn in their classes and will challenge the students to be attentive and focused on their teachers. Though each skit provides much fun and laughter, each one also provides a valuable message. Each skit is approximately 10 minutes in length. The impact the skits will have on your students will far surpass the amount of work that must be done to implement them.
In Untangled, students will learn about the nature of God—Who He is and the wonderful plan He has for us. We will journey back to the beginning to discover how God put a plan in motion to save us before we even had a need to be saved.
The five lessons are as follows:
LESSON 1 - GOD, OUR CREATOR
Bible Story: The Story of Creation (Genesis 1:1—2:3)
Memory Verse: “Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you” - Jeremiah 32:17.
LESSON 2 - GOD, OUR FATHER
Bible Story: The Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:7—3:24)
Memory Verse: “But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand” - Isaiah 64:8.
LESSON 3 - GOD, OUR PROVIDOR
Bible Story: Abraham’s Test of Faith (Genesis 22:1-14)
Memory Verse: “The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him” - Lamentations 3:25.
LESSON 4 - GOD, OUR STRENGTH
Bible Story: The Temptation of Jesus (Matthew 4:1-11)
Memory Verse: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” - Psalm 46:1.
LESSON 5 - JESUS, OUR SAVIOR
Bible Story: Jesus Provides Salvation (Luke 23—24)
Memory Verse: “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him” - John 3:17.
