James 1:27 teaches us to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep ourselves from being polluted by the world. It’s a monumental task in our current society, but Hope for Haiti’s Children (HFHC), one of two ministry partners of 21st Century Christian, is doing its best to fulfill its duty to Scripture.
Hope for Haiti endeavors “to demonstrate Christian compassion to poverty-bound Haitian children and their families, providing opportunities for these children to become leaders in their homes, churches, and communities.” Since 1999, HFHC has cared for orphaned children using a three-pronged approach: nurture, educate, and train. Whether it’s providing gifts for children who are living in desperate situations, distributing child sponsorships or school lunches, or hosting youth camps, HFHC is making a huge difference in the lives of thousands of children.
